Eyebrow Transplantation

Here's how the eyebrow transplantation process generally works: Donor Hair Extraction: The surgeon will first identify a suitable donor area on the patient's scalp, which usually has dense and healthy hair. Hair follicles are then extracted from this area using either the FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method. FUT involves removing a strip of tissue from the donor area, while FUE involves extracting individual hair follicles one by one. Hair Follicle Preparation: Once the hair follicles are harvested, they are carefully dissected under a microscope to obtain individual hair grafts. These grafts are usually small units containing one to three hair follicles, which will be used for the transplantation. Recipient Site Creation: Tiny incisions are made in the area where the eyebrows will be reconstructed. The surgeon will create these recipient sites with precise angles and directions to ensure a natural-looking result. Hair Transplantation: The harvested hair grafts are then placed into the recipient sites with the help of microsurgical tools. The surgeon meticulously arranges the grafts to mimic the natural growth pattern and density of eyebrows. Recovery and Healing: After the procedure, patients may experience some redness, swelling, and mild discomfort in the transplanted area. However, these symptoms usually subside within a few days to a week. Patients are advised to follow post-operative care instructions to ensure proper healing. Hair Growth: The transplanted hair will initially fall out within a few weeks of the procedure, which is a normal part of the process. However, the hair follicles remain intact, and new hair growth should start within a few months. It may take several months for the final results to become fully apparent.

Hair Transplantation

Hair loss is a normal physiologic process. The normal count for hair loss is somewhere between 50-100 hairs daily, females lose more than males. If the hair fall is more than that it may lead to the appearance of a bald patch earlier than the usual time. Such hair loss is termed ALOPECIA. A most common type of hair loss for men is Androgenic Alopecia; caused due to androgenic hormones like testosterone. Hair loss can not be stopped completely forget reversing it. The faster process of hair loss in affected patients can be slowed. Usually, hair loss stabilizes after some age. Although it is very difficult to accurately judge that. Alopecia can be treated with medications and non-surgical methods. Medications can stop the hair loss and even regrow lost hairs but patients need to be on medications life long which is not without side effects. Once the patient is used to the maintainence and have realistic expectations, Hair trasnplant surgery can be thought of. Hair transplant is not getting new hair!! It simply redistrubtes your existing hair such that appearence is near to normal. Result depends on many criteria like how many hairs area actually available. Hair tansplant surgery can be done in two ways FUT: in which a strip of the scalp tissue is cut, the hair follicles are removed from the strip and subsequently put in the bald areas. FUE: in which single hair follicles are removed with punches and subseuqnetly put in the bald areas. We at MJF will first accurately diagnose if you are a candidate for Hair Transplant/Hair Restoration surgery. We prefer FUE type of Hair transplant as it gives more predictable results and is less invasive.
